Organizing the Bookshelf

Okay, how fun is this video? haha I wish I was that creative. Better yet, I wish I had that much time on my hands to actually create this – because it’s VERY cool! :)

So You Want to Write a Novel

By now I am sure you have probably seen this floating around twitter and facebook, but it’s just too funny not to post. It’s a long-ish one, but totally worth it. If you don’t laugh, you obviously haven’t been in the writing scene for too long. ;)

NaNo Nicknames

NaNo Nicknames

NaNoWriMo nicknames

Today’s comic by Debbie pokes a little fun at NaNo nicknames. Unfortunately, mine isn’t related to NaNo at all. I’m ‘simplywriting’ over on the boards. Why? Because I’m simply writing. Well, actually – that’s how the nickname started years ago, but I use it on the boards because it is the name I most often go by on the ‘net.

If I was going to come up with a NaNo specific nickname, it would probably be ‘BringMeMoreCoffeeICan’tStopTyping’. Yep, that’s it.

So what is your nickname and why did you choose it? If it isn’t NaNo specific, what would YOUR NaNo name be?

NaNo Comic: Novel Prep

NaNo Comic: Novel Prep

Every year Deb creates these amazing comics specifically for NaNo. She makes awesome comics for writer’s all year long, but come October and November, you see a surge of fun comics specifically for us crazy ‘novel in a month’ kids. :)

NaNoWriMo Edward

Ha! I was gagging right along with him. However, it is true. Writer’s all get their inspiration from a wide variety of places. I don’t have one singular place I get it from. It all depends on what I am writing about.

I usually do several weeks of research before I sit down to start writing. I research setting, characters, occupations,  names, etc.

I am not much of an outliner, but I do take notes. So what are you doing to prep for NaNo?

NaNo Comics: Countdown to NaNoWriMo Begins

NaNo Comics: Countdown to NaNoWriMo Begins

NaNoWriMo Countdown

It’s time. Finally I feel as if there is a true countdown to begin. We are getting closer everyday and I’m so ready to work. I have plot bunnies galore running through my brain and I am just trying to sort it all out.
Are you ready to get started?

This comic couldn’t ring more true for me. I have the restraint needed to keep from writing, but it’s difficult to say the least!

Do you have the urge to write?
