Welcome!

Hi there, I am Nicole. This blog is simply my little corner of the writing world. I used to own and operate the previous website known as Freelance Writer's Exchange, but my focus changed a lot and I decided to let that go and run with this.

I am a YA & Women's Fiction writer. Trying my hand at my first steamy romance novel. Wife. Mom to 5. Freelance contributor to family, food & lifestyle pubs. I love chocolate, books, photography, scrapbooking & Sushi. Not necessarily in that order.

I absolutely love comments, and love meeting new people, so please be sure and leave a comment so I know you've visited, and so I can come visit you.

New Template Temporarily

Yes, there is a new template. No, I don’t think it is permanent. I think I am going to pay someone to custom make what I want.

I keep trying different themes and templates and I just can’t seem to find something that totally works for what I want. It’s really weird, because when I first started blogging with wordpress several years ago, I could find all kinds of templates that I wanted and that worked for me. However, now I have evolved, I know what I want and what looks good and the pickings seem a lot slimmer now.

I don’t hate this one. I just don’t love it. I want to love my template. So just stick with me over the course of the next couple of weeks because I will probably change it again. I know how to make my own, I just don’t have the time to develop it right now. Soon, very soon. Yeah, right.

  • Hmmm, I sort of like this template, but I liked the last one better. I did the same thing on my blog a while ago, because I just kept on finding new templates that I liked. Finally, I settle on the one I have now.

  • This one is nice, Nicole! The three-column setup really works well when you have a bunch of sidebar content. If you’re using WordPress, and decide you’d like some outside assistance with your template, give me a shout. I recently helped http://oneword.com with their redesign and would love to help you, too!
