Welcome!

Hi there, I am Nicole. This blog is simply my little corner of the writing world. I used to own and operate the previous website known as Freelance Writer's Exchange, but my focus changed a lot and I decided to let that go and run with this.

I am a YA & Women's Fiction writer. Trying my hand at my first steamy romance novel. Wife. Mom to 5. Freelance contributor to family, food & lifestyle pubs. I love chocolate, books, photography, scrapbooking & Sushi. Not necessarily in that order.

I absolutely love comments, and love meeting new people, so please be sure and leave a comment so I know you've visited, and so I can come visit you.

Editor's Choice – November 2009

I am so incredibly excited. I can’t believe I did come here before now to shout from the rooftops about winning the today.com Editor’s Choice award for November 2009. My blog, Cook With Me – won the editor’s choice award for the month of November and just before Christmas I was awarded with a check for $250 which was WONDERFUL at that point. Helped us do a little more for Christmas than we normally would have, so a blessing in disguise.

I have enjoyed writing for today.com so far and I’ve been there just under a year at this point. The company continues to grow and allows bloggers to blog about any topic they want, and get paid for it. I will admit however, it is a lot of work as you need to do a lot of self-promotion on your blog to get your traffic to increase, but the per post pay is fairly decent if your content is good and people are visiting.

Thank you today.com for the award, the cash and for acknowledging my blog and the hard work I put in to it.
