Welcome!

Hi there, I am Nicole. This blog is simply my little corner of the writing world. I used to own and operate the previous website known as Freelance Writer's Exchange, but my focus changed a lot and I decided to let that go and run with this.

I am a YA & Women's Fiction writer. Trying my hand at my first steamy romance novel. Wife. Mom to 5. Freelance contributor to family, food & lifestyle pubs. I love chocolate, books, photography, scrapbooking & Sushi. Not necessarily in that order.

I absolutely love comments, and love meeting new people, so please be sure and leave a comment so I know you've visited, and so I can come visit you.

Monday Morning Meme – October 6th

Karen from Write From Karen, hosts a Monday Morning Meme which I have been known to do on my other blog, but not this one. I’m hoping to begin participating regularly in it.

All you have to do is answer the questions that she posts on her blog either in the comment section of her blog or on your own blog. So, here they are.

October 6th Questions:

1. Do you have certain times of the day when you have to have things done? Does your day run on a timetable? Or are you more of a laissez-faire kind of person?

I think I am a little of both actually. I really do love the whole fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants approach, but unfortunately for me, if I do that – I don’t wind up getting a lot done. I tend to need a schedule to adhere to . Since I have daily writing assignments that are due, as well as temporary clients, my days do tend to change a bit from time to time,  however I’m still working during the same hours usually. If I don’t have it done by the time the kids get off the bus, its probably not happening until the next day.

2. What one word describes you on a good day? What about on a bad day? What one word would your best friend use to describe you? What one word would your significant other use to describe you?

I’m usually pretty CHEERFUL on a good day. On a bad day? Quiet. Depends on which friend you talk to, but I think they would all say that I’m SUPPORTIVE or LOYAL. A PITA? lol if you don’t know what that is. Anyway, he’d probably say I’m a MOM and everything that word summarizes.

3. Your blog is being made into a television show. What kind of show will it be? Sit-com? Drama? How long is it? Hour? Half-hour? Sunday night movie? And most importantly, who are your show’s sponsors?

I guess it all depends on which blog. If it was this one, it would wind up being a half-hour sitcom that shows the often comical journey of a freelance writer trying to beat the odds and become a best selling author. It could happen – right? My sponsors? Easy – Folgers and Cadbury (I’m absolutely addicted to Caramello bars right now)

4. What is your favorite perfume or cologne? How often do you wear perfume or cologne? Has anyone ever told you smelled good/bad? If so, how did that make you feel? Flattered? Self-conscious? Uncomfortable?

Honestly, it used to be Nicole Miller – now its this cheap stuff from Wal-mart that I found accidentally looking for something for my teenager. LOL It’s called Sweet Couture ‘Under My Spell’ and is actually a moisturizing body mist. Smells so good! I’ve been told a lot since I started wearing this that I smell good and of course it makes you feel great.

Leave me a comment so I can come visit you and read your answers too!
