Karen from Write From Karen, hosts a Monday Morning Meme which I have been known to do on my other blog, but not this one. It seems like just thing to get me writing this beautiful morning, and so I am planning on participating a bit more often.
All you have to do is answer the questions that she posts on her blog either in the comment section of her blog or on your own blog. So, here they are.
October 13th Questions:
1. If your children are going trick-or-treating this year, what costumes are they wearing? Do you take them door-to-door or do you take them to a sponsored event? Tell us about the last time you dressed up for Halloween. How do you feel about Halloween in general?
I’m not even sure what my kids are going as. My 10 year old has expressed an interest in being a mummy. LOL My oldest son who is 14 plans to wear his really awesome Pirate costume we bought two years ago HUGE – now it fits perfect. I have no idea what anyone else wants to be. Someone said something about a clown but I really hope not. We usually just go trick or treating in our own neighborhood. I plan to dress up this year, but I’m not sure as what. There is a ghost bride costume I am in love with, so I might do that. I am not the biggest fan of Halloween actually. Not my favorite holiday but I do enjoy spending time with my kids.
2. Do your friends and family read your blog? How does this knowledge affect your writing? Do you feel like you can totally be yourself on your blog? Where do you draw the line when it comes to disclosing too much about your life on your blog?
I have no idea who reads my blog. I’m pretty sure my ex husband does. Knowing that he does or my family does doesn’t change much. I am a pretty honest and open person. So I say it as it is. The good, the bad and yes, even the ugly. I’m not going to give people directions to my house, but I am a writer and want people to know me on a personal level (within reason of course).
3. Are you an early bird or a night owl? What do you like to do in the early morning hours or late at night? How do your sleeping patterns affect the rest of your family?
I’m definitely an early bird. Sometimes I wish I was a night owl. In the wee early morning hours you can usually find me with a piping hot cup of coffee and my laptop churning out articles for a private client or families.com. In the late hours is when I try to catch up on my blogs. My sleeping patterns don’t actually affect anyone at all. Mike works nights so his affects us far more.
4. Do you lie about your age? Why or why not?
Nope. I guess it doesn’t matter. Will it someday? I hope not. I never thought age was a big deal. It’s a number – it doesn’t define you. I didn’t absolutely love turning 35 this year, but it doesn’t phase me to tell people how old I am.
Leave me a comment so I can come visit you and read your answers too!
