Welcome!

Hi there, I am Nicole. This blog is simply my little corner of the writing world. I used to own and operate the previous website known as Freelance Writer's Exchange, but my focus changed a lot and I decided to let that go and run with this.

I am a YA & Women's Fiction writer. Trying my hand at my first steamy romance novel. Wife. Mom to 5. Freelance contributor to family, food & lifestyle pubs. I love chocolate, books, photography, scrapbooking & Sushi. Not necessarily in that order.

I absolutely love comments, and love meeting new people, so please be sure and leave a comment so I know you've visited, and so I can come visit you.

Does It Make You Mad?

So Lindsay over at Glamorous Housewife posted a good question yesterday. What makes you mad? I agreed with pretty much everything she says:

Her response: Shopping carts in the middle of the aisle.

My response:  I cannot stand it when there is a shopping cart in the middle of the aisle and they are taking their own sweet time about getting whatever it is they are getting and that usually equates to being at the other end of the aisle nowhere near the abandoned shopping cart in question. And if you even dare scoot it over, you are sure to get “that look”.

Her response: Rude or Mean people for no reason.

My response: I cannot stand rude people, or people who lie or try to use words to glorify their life when they don’t actually live that way. I cannot stand a liar.

Her response: People who claim to be a Christian but live a life that is TOTALLY opposite of that.

My response: The living Christian thing is big one for me. I would much rather have someone tell me they are struggling with their walk, or that they aren’t a practicing Christian then to watch them do things that just don’t seem appropriate no matter which way you look at it.

My response: This one is my own – Another one that gets me is people who judge. I cannot stand judgmental people. Usually it is those that judge that probably lead a life that deserves or would be judged by those that are judgmental. Thankfully my closest friends are very non-judgmental people and I am friends with them despite their weird and wacky ways. I love ‘em!

Her response: People that tell her how to raise her son.

My response: And amen to the whole parenting advice thing. Leave me alone. I’m a mom and I’m loving being a mom and I’m not going to learn anything if you feel the need to butt in. It is okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them, and not everything that someone does that is different than you would do it, makes it wrong or warrants advice. Mind.Your.Own.Business.

*sigh*

That was fun!
